Today we are excited to announce Grafbase Enterprise Platform, a self-hosted version of the Grafbase platform that gives you more control and flexibility. Grafbase Enterprise Platform is suitable for enterprises that are subject to regulatory compliance. It runs on your infrastructure and is governed by access and security controls that you define.
The Grafbase Cloud Platform works best for many use cases. However, some enterprises must run the platform on-premises to comply with strict data privacy regulations or meet specific security requirements. The Grafbase Enterprise Platform lets these enterprises use Grafbase on their infrastructure while accessing all platform features.
This launch establishes Grafbase as a platform provider for any environment - cloud or on-premises. Our customers and partners can now access the same powerful features we use internally, with new features and updates coming as daily snapshots or stable releases.
We built the Grafbase Enterprise Platform to match the Grafbase Cloud Platform exactly. Over the past few months, we created a Helm chart enabling self-hosted Grafbase installations. Internally we have been dogfooding Grafbase Enterprise Platform extensively for the past few months. Now we're ready to share it with our customers.
The Helm chart installs the platform with all necessary components. You can enable or disable components you already run. The Grafbase Enterprise Platform includes:
- Grafbase API: The core platform component providing a GraphQL interface
- Grafbase Dashboard: The web interface for managing federated graphs
- Telemetry Sink: A component authorizing and collecting telemetry data for the message broker
The platform also requires:
- Zitadel as the identity provider
- PostgreSQL for federated graph data
- ClickHouse for analytics data
- Minio for object storage
- Kafka for real-time analytics messaging
- OpenTelemetry Collector for telemetry aggregation
Our Helm chart packages all these components with flexible enable/disable options.
You'll need a running Kubernetes cluster and Helm installation. We run on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), but any Kubernetes cluster works.
Check our installation guide to set up Grafbase Enterprise Platform. The guide shows how to install via Helm and configure for your needs.
The Grafbase Enterprise Platform launch brings self-hosted Grafbase to organizations needing full data control, strict privacy compliance, and specific security requirements.
